Things are continuing to look up for our favorite German automaker, Volkswagen, as the company is now reporting a rather large increase in sales. In fact, in October, the company saw not only its largest month of growth for the year so far, but also its best October in general since 2001. This is something that we here at Platinum Volkswagen are incredibly delighted to share with you, so read on for all the juicy details.
Specifically, Volkswagen modes in the greater Hicksville area and beyond saw a 24 percent increase in sales in the month of October. Furthermore, this amazing round of sales actually puts Volkswagen sales for the year up by an astonishing 40 percent.
"As the all-new [2012] Volkswagen Passat and [2012] Volkswagen Beetle start to enter the market place, demand for Volkswagen vehicles has already exceeded last year's annual volume in the first 10 months of the year, " explains Volkswagen President and CEO Jonathan Browning.1
The Passat specifically sold more than 5040 vehicles in October, and the Beetle managed to sell 1516. What makes these sales numbers even more impressive is the fact that they only hit dealership lots last month, which marks an impressive debut for each of them respectively.
Another impressive frontrunner for the German automaker in October was the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta, which saw an amazing 13,058 vehicles sold, which marks a 52-percent increase year-to-date.
